Clowner utan Gränser is a Swedish non-profit association founded in 1996 that uses clowns, play, laughter and culture to support children and families affected by war, conflict, displacement and natural disasters. Its professional artists perform shows, workshops and training for children in refugee camps, hospitals, conflict zones and disaster areas, with the aim of strengthening psychosocial health, rights and hope for the future. The organisation has carried out emergency interventions after disasters such as Hurricane Matthew in Haiti, Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines, the Rohingya crisis in Bangladesh and the 2023 earthquake in Turkey, and has made repeated tours to refugee camps in Greece. It also produces educational materials for schools and early years settings on children's rights, migration and peace, many of them funded by Sida and other public and foundation funders. Clowner utan Gränser is a member of Giva Sverige, holds 90-konto status under Svensk Insamlingskontroll, and publishes an annual impact report. Its work is funded mainly through individual donations, corporate gifts, legacies and grants. The head office is in Stockholm, Sweden.
