The Comisión Colombiana de Juristas is a Colombian non-governmental organisation founded in 1988 to promote human rights and international human rights and humanitarian law in Colombia and globally. It provides strategic litigation and legal representation for victims of the armed conflict, human rights defenders and social organisations, including before the Special Jurisdiction for Peace (JEP), national courts and UN and Inter-American bodies. It also carries out legislative and public policy advocacy before Congress and state institutions, conducts research and documentation on human rights violations and impunity, and runs training courses and memory initiatives. Its work centres on Colombia, with international advocacy directed at governments, embassies and multilateral bodies.
