CRNVO

Founded in 1999, CRNVO is a non-profit network based in Podgorica, Montenegro working on democracy & civil society.

CRNVO, the Centar za razvoj nevladinih organizacija, is a non-profit, non-governmental and non-partisan organisation founded in September 1999 in Montenegro. It works to strengthen the non-governmental sector and to build a framework for citizen and NGO participation in public policy and civil society development. CRNVO serves as the national resource centre of the Montenegrin Resource Centre Network, which is coordinated with regional resource centres in Bijelo Polje, Ulcinj and Podgorica and local offices in Pljevlja, Herceg Novi, Kolašin and other towns. Its services for civil society organisations, public bodies and citizens include free help desk support, legal and financial advice, help with registration and reporting, and training on topics such as project writing, financial management, public relations and policy monitoring. The network also makes meeting rooms available to NGOs, organises consultative meetings between civil society and institutions, publishes translations of donor guidelines and reports on the state of civil society, and maintains an online database of civil society organisations. The network is financed by the Ministry of Regional Development and Cooperation with NGOs.
