Crucea Roșie Română is a non-governmental organisation based in București, Romania working on health, education, humanitarian aid & disaster relief.

The Romanian National Red Cross Society is a humanitarian organisation and member of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. It was established under Law No. 139/1995 as an autonomous, non-governmental, apolitical public-utility body that is non-profit and auxiliary to public authorities. Based in Bucharest, it provides humanitarian assistance in disasters and supports vulnerable people across Romania through community health programmes, disease prevention and first aid services. Its best-known programme is the Sanitarii Pricepuți health education and first aid competition for secondary school pupils and teachers, organised with the Ministries of Education, Health and Internal Affairs. The organisation also offers first aid courses, accredited by the Global Reference Centre for First Aid and aligned with European Resuscitation Council and IFRC guidance, and publishes first aid manuals and teaching resources.
