Crucea Roșie Satu Mare is the Satu Mare branch of the Romanian National Red Cross Society, a public-benefit, non-profit humanitarian organisation and member of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. Based in Satu Mare, Romania, it works in Satu Mare County and cross-border with the Ivano-Frankivsk region of Ukraine. Its activities include disaster preparedness and response, including building local disaster intervention detachments; first aid training for adults, children and employees; digital skills courses; labour market integration projects; and awareness campaigns on health, prevention and youth. It also runs humanitarian relief and fundraising campaigns, such as aid for people affected by flooding, and recruits volunteers. Courses are often offered free of charge through EU and national project funding.
