Cyklistforbundet

Cyklistforbundet is a non-profit association based in København K, Denmark working on environment & climate, health, children & youth +5 more.

Cyklistforbundet is a Danish democratic membership and civil society organisation that promotes cycling across Denmark. It works to make cycling safer, easier and more attractive for all, and advocates politically for better conditions for cyclists at national and local level. Its work includes national campaigns for children, schoolchildren and adults, including Vi kan cykle!, Alle Børn Cykler and Vi cykler til arbejde, as well as cycle play programmes for early childhood and school settings, a volunteer network with local branches, and advice for municipalities, schools and workplaces on cycling promotion. It also runs projects that provide bicycles to asylum residents and refugees, and publishes research, guides and the CYKLISTER magazine. The organisation has its secretariat in Copenhagen and is funded mainly by grants and earmarked project funding, with a smaller share from membership fees. Donations to the organisation can be deducted from tax in Denmark.
