About
Dansk Datahistorisk Forening is a non-profit association based in Hedehusene, Denmark working on heritage.
Dansk Datahistorisk Forening (DDHF) is a non-profit association in Denmark that collects, registers and preserves computing equipment, software and documents from the development of Danish data technology. Its focus is on the pioneering companies Regnecentralen, Chr. Rovsing and Dansk Data Elektronik, and on the history of computing in Denmark from 1957, when the DASK computer arrived. The association runs a digital museum and wiki with historical images, articles and biographies, and a museum at Charlottegårdsvej in Hedehusene that is open to the public on certain Sundays. The association is run by volunteers, who also keep the historic machines running, and it works with partners such as Dansk IT and the Data-arkæologerne group. It is funded by membership fees for individuals and companies, donations, and merchandise sales. Its activities include a bit archive that preserves historical software, exhibitions, lectures, and a membership newsletter and magazine.
