DEIS, the Asociația pentru Dezvoltare prin Educație, Informare și Susținere D.E.I.S., is a non-profit association founded in 2010 in Baia Mare, Romania. It works to develop the community through the active involvement of young people and youth workers, creating and running local, national and international projects in areas including youth, education, culture, social assistance, human rights, civic spirit, arts, sport, environment and tourism. It manages the Baia Mare Youth Centre for the Maramureș County Directorate for Sport and Youth and runs the ROUA Community Centre, which since 2022 provides integrated services to Ukrainians settled in Baia Mare, including the ROUA DEPO, which gives away food, hygiene products and clothing free of charge. Its main activities fall into two categories: development opportunities for young people, and training and development for youth workers. Its projects are funded by public authorities, EU programmes and donations.
