Développement et Paix – Caritas Canada is the official international solidarity organisation of the Catholic Church in Canada and the Canadian member of Caritas Internationalis. It works with local partner organisations in around 40 countries to support communities in building their own development, defend their rights and promote peace. In Canada, it mobilises a membership base of parishes, schools and young people through education, advocacy and fundraising campaigns aimed at addressing the structural causes of poverty and inequality. Its work is partly funded by the Government of Canada through Global Affairs Canada.
