DFS Prvosienka

Founded in 1981, DFS Prvosienka is a non-profit association based in Bratislava, Slovakia working on arts & culture, children & youth, heritage.

DFS Prvosienka is a children's folklore ensemble operated as a civic association (občianske združenie) in Bratislava, Slovakia. Founded in 1981, it trains children and young people aged about 5 to 17 in traditional Slovak folk dance, music and songs from various regions. The ensemble performs at cultural events, festivals and seasonal celebrations in Bratislava and the surrounding area, and has taken part in international folklore festivals abroad. It also runs a yearly anniversary production and invites new dancers and musicians to join. Its work is funded by individual donations, including the 2% tax designation, and corporate partners.
