Dharma Support For Rescue

Founded in 2022, Dharma Support For Rescue is a non-profit association based in Porvoo, Finland working on animal welfare.

Dharma Support for Rescue is a Finnish registered association founded in 2022. It supports responsible and established dog rescue work by raising funds and providing financial support to rescue organisations and shelters in Finland and abroad, mainly in Spain and Greece. Much of its fundraising has focused on Spanish galgo (sighthound) shelters, covering veterinary care, food, medication and transport costs to Finland. It also supports neutering projects for street dogs, such as Animal Rescue Rodos on Rhodes. The association's stated aim is to promote and support responsible rescue activity, both ideologically and financially, and thereby improve the situation and welfare of homeless dogs. It funds itself through public fundraising campaigns, donations, membership fees (supporting members and corporate members), and sales of merchandise. Campaigns are run through social media and fundraising permits granted by the Finnish National Police Board.
