EDA-Yurimaguas is a non-governmental organisation based in Yurimaguas, Loreto, Peru, founded in 1999 by Liri Seopa Ruíz and a group of community members. It works with local people on projects in education, the preservation of indigenous knowledge, cultural identity and local self-management of natural resources in the Peruvian Amazon lowlands. Its main initiative is the Escuela Modelo en la Amazonía primary school, alongside environmental education, cultural and art projects. The association is recognised and overseen by the Peruvian state. It is supported in Switzerland by the association EDAmazonía, based in Zürich, which handles fundraising and reporting for donors.
