Founded in 1996 by decree of Archbishop Sava, it provides charitable assistance to people in need regardless of faith, origin or nationality. Its work includes day centres for children from difficult family backgrounds, a soup kitchen and emergency help points, a homelessness exit programme, an alcohol consultation point for addicted people and their families, and support for migrants and refugees. Its main base is in Białystok, and its statutory territory of operation is Poland.
