eRko

Founded in 1990, eRko is a non-profit association based in Bratislava, Slovakia working on children & youth, religion & faith, international development.

eRko is a Slovak Christian children's movement registered as a civic association with the Ministry of Interior since 1990. It runs regular weekly or fortnightly small community groups (stretká) for children, led by trained young volunteers in more than 200 towns and villages across Slovakia. Its work includes summer camps, training and methodical support for leaders, a children's magazine (Rebrík), and national campaigns such as Dobrá novina, which funds development projects in sub-Saharan Africa, DOBROčiny and MINIdigi. The movement's stated aim is to help children grow into mature Christian personalities who contribute to the society they live in. It is a member of FIMCAP and CIDSE.
