Façamos Sorrir (also known as Hagamos Sonreír) is a non-profit association founded in late 2016 by a small group of friends, together with a Spanish missionary priest linked to Lago Verde in northern Brazil. The association works to address poverty and lack of development in the Maranhão region of Brazil, focusing on family integration, education, access to healthcare and medicines, water access, hygiene, women's autonomy and reducing child mortality. Its projects include education for children, job training and integration for young people, and water point construction. It is based in Valdemoro, Madrid, Spain, and is also seeking to build a shelter for homeless people in Parla in collaboration with the Diocese of Getafe. The association raises support through donations and membership.
