Famiglia Nuova is a social cooperative and Onlus based in Lodi, Lombardy, with roots in the Associazione Comunità Famiglia Nuova, founded in 1979 by Don Leandro Rossi. It works against addiction through residential therapeutic communities and outpatient services, and runs services for people with HIV/AIDS, migrants and asylum seekers, unaccompanied minors, homeless adults, families, children and adolescents. Its activities include street education, day centres, reception housing, childcare and after-school services, and food distribution. The cooperative operates in Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna and Umbria, and states that its statutory aim is the social integration of people in poverty or marginalisation, delivered through socio-health and educational services. It is accredited for several of its services and holds a gender equality certification under UNI PdR 125:2022.
