About

Founded in 2007, Fastighetsägare i Järva is a non-profit association based in Spånga, Sweden working on community development, gender equality, justice & legal aid.

Fastighetsägare i Järva is a non-profit association and collaboration platform for property owners in the Järva districts of Stockholm: Akalla, Husby, Kista, Rinkeby, Tensta and Hjulsta. Founded in 2007 on the initiative of Svenska Bostäder together with Fastighetsägarna Stockholm, it is politically independent. It works to make Järva safer, more pleasant and more attractive, using a BID-inspired model of voluntary cooperation with the district administration, the police, the traffic office and other local actors. Its activities include safety walks open to residents, free security inspections of properties, place-based collaboration groups, joint procurement of services for members, training and seminars on preventing violence in close relationships, and youth safety walks with local schools. Members are residential landlords, housing cooperatives, commercial and public property owners, and joint-property associations. The association's office is in Tensta and it works in the Järva area of Stockholm, Sweden.
