Founded in 1972 from the bequest of Giovanni Battista Baroni, it funds projects and initiatives that improve the quality of life and inclusion of people with motor and neurological disabilities. Its work is organised in three areas: scientific research, social assistance and solidarity, and sport. It runs annual calls for projects open to associations and organisations, and an annual prize for inclusive journalism. Under its statute, it mainly supports projects in Rome, though it may consider projects elsewhere in Italy. It also accepts legacies and donations, which are tax-deductible.
