Fondazione FIRMO (Fondazione Italiana Ricerca sulle Malattie dell'Osso) is a non-profit foundation based in Florence, Italy, operating since 2006 in the field of skeletal diseases. It funds and conducts research into the diagnosis of bone diseases, including rare bone disorders, through its FIRMOLab laboratory. It runs awareness and prevention campaigns on osteoporosis and rare bone diseases, produces educational content for the public and patients, and supports a patient committee that represents people with bone conditions. The foundation is chaired by Professor Maria Luisa Brandi and works with universities, hospitals, industry partners and public institutions.
