FTR-AD

Founded in 2023, FTR-AD is a non-profit association based in Ankara, Turkey working on education, human rights.

FTR-AD is an independent Turkish association founded in March 2023 to improve the quality of physiotherapy and rehabilitation education in Turkey. It runs accreditation, evaluation and information activities for physiotherapy and rehabilitation undergraduate programmes at higher education institutions. Its work includes evaluating and accrediting programmes at the request of institutions, selecting and training evaluators, training programme managers and faculty, reviewing evaluation criteria in line with stakeholder needs, organising national and international courses, seminars and workshops, and publishing guides and reports on accreditation standards for institutions and evaluators. The association is based in Ankara and operates on a volunteer basis for its committees and evaluation teams. Its stated aims include aligning physiotherapy education with international standards and supporting the development of well-qualified physiotherapists. It is funded through membership fees, accreditation fees and other income, and it can accept donations under Turkish law.
