Fundação UNITATE is a Portuguese foundation in the social solidarity sector. It runs social response services, including residential care for older people, home support services, and social action units in Alentejo municipalities such as Borba, Vila Viçosa, Évora, Redondo, Machede and Vendinha. It is developing a palliative care unit in Pardais and the UNITATE Campus in Borba, which hosts social services, a business incubator, a café and training. Its training arm includes the IFES institute and courses for IPSS staff, such as specialisations in technical direction of social responses. It also runs the Social Mais Edições publishing house and a volunteering programme. Its stated mission is to develop the social economy in Portugal, with a focus on building a network for sharing resources among social economy actors.
