Fundación Esplai Ciudadanía Comprometida is a non-profit entity that develops projects and programmes to promote citizen empowerment from a rights, inclusion and social transformation perspective. Its work combines community social intervention, socio-educational action and the use of information and communication technologies, with a particular focus on young people. A central area is closing the digital divide through ICT access spaces, digital skills training, and socio-labour insertion for groups such as young people, migrants, people with disabilities and people in prisons. It works in networks with the third sector and other social agents, and operates across Spain with offices in Madrid, Catalonia, Andalusia and Galicia. It also runs the Plataforma Red Conecta, a network of entities with over twenty years of experience in digital inclusion.
