Fundación GRATIS DATE is a Catholic, charitable and non-profit foundation constituted in Pamplona, Spain, in 1988 by diocesan priests José Rivera and José María Iraburu, together with Carmen Bellido and two couples. It publishes and distributes Catholic books and spiritual works, including biographies, commentaries on Scripture, liturgy, theology and spirituality. The foundation sells its publications in Spain at minimal prices and donates them free of charge to readers in Hispanic America, where it has sent more than 243,500 copies free of charge (figures stated up to 2014). Readers in Hispanic America may make donations in response. Many of its works are also made available for reproduction, copying and download on its website, under stated conditions. Its work is carried out under the patronage of the Virgin Mary and is inspired by the gospel call to give freely.
