Fundación Oasis de Amor y Paz is a non-profit organisation operating in Ábrego, Norte de Santander, in northeastern Colombia, an area affected by long-running armed conflict linked to drug trafficking. It works to educate for peace and focuses on rescuing children exploited in coca plantations or recruited into illegal armed groups, offering them a safer and more hopeful future. The work began in January 2007 with ten children. Today more than 150 children, adolescents, young people and families from conflict-affected territories benefit from its programmes, which are delivered across three centres run by the Foundation.
