Fundacja AKME is a Polish non-governmental foundation founded in March 2014 that provides support for people in mental health crises, including children, young people and adults. It runs community mental health centres, day care homes for people with disabilities, senior clubs, social integration clubs and integration support for third-country nationals, mainly in the Wielkopolska region with activity also in Łódź and other voivodeships. The foundation also delivers training and funding support for staff of Warsztaty Terapii Zajęciowej (WTZ) and Środowiskowe Domy Samopomocy (ŚDS) across Poland, and implements projects co-financed by EU funds, local government and the National Health Fund (NFZ). Its services are largely free of charge to beneficiaries.
