About
Founded in 2019, Gabrieli Loomade Elu is a non-profit association based in Vana-Vigala küla, Estonia working on animal welfare.
Gabrieli Loomade Elu is a non-profit animal welfare association (MTÜ) based in Vana-Vigala, Raplamaa, Estonia. It runs a private animal shelter that takes in abandoned, sick and injured cats, including some from colonies and street rescues, and also cares for hedgehogs, birds and other small animals. Animals are provided with veterinary care, parasite treatment, vaccinations, microchipping and sterilisation where suitable, and are then placed in new homes, while some elderly or chronically ill animals stay at the shelter permanently. The association is funded mainly by individual and monthly donations, fundraising events and support from companies, and it accepts volunteers for transport and shelter work. Its founder, Gabriel Vodolaztšenko, began rescuing animals at the age of 13 and established the association in 2019.
