Founded in 1994 by the Carmelite Fathers of Viana do Castelo, it offers free, confidential family support, combining psychological, legal, social and spiritual counselling through a multidisciplinary team. Its work covers support for victims of domestic violence, family and child protection, social inclusion of disadvantaged groups, addiction and mental health, HIV/AIDS counselling, vocational guidance and parent-support activities. It also runs training, conferences and an information bulletin for families, and works in partnership with other social service bodies.
