Govern for Impact

Founded in 1999, Govern for Impact is a charity based in London, Canada working on democracy & civil society.

Govern for Impact is an independent, charitable international organisation formed in 1999 and incorporated in New York State in 2001. It is a community of practitioners, researchers, consultants and academics that promotes governance excellence for boards across all sectors. Drawing on the Policy Governance model, it supports boards to lead with integrity, prudence and accountability to their constituents, mobilises a global community of learning and practice, examines and disseminates owner-accountable board governance systems, and advocates for their adoption. It runs conferences, advanced practice forums, learning communities, a scholarship fund and governance training, and invites individuals to join as contacts or affiliates and to support its work through donations.
