Grupo Nexos is a private non-profit organisation based in Puerto Rico that works for the health and wellbeing of communities using evidence-based practices. It brings together psychologists, planners, evaluators, social workers, epidemiologists and public health experts to implement scientifically tested prevention and health promotion interventions. Its work covers public health areas such as education, physical and mental health, substance use, teen and unplanned pregnancy, violence and early childhood. Services include programme planning, organisational development, programme design and evaluation, training, and informatics tools. Its continuing education division, Nexos Academy, offers workshops and certifications, and the organisation also runs public policy analysis and research into evidence-based practice. It invites people to volunteer through an online form.
