Happy Child Foundation supports Happy Child Home, a children's home in Muang Mai, Phuket, Thailand. The home gives children from poor backgrounds, many of whom have lost one or both parents or lack family support, a safe and loving upbringing, schooling and the possibility of a good education. The home opened in March 2005, initially in response to the 2004 tsunami, and children now come from across Thailand. The foundation is funded by private donors, monthly givers, corporate friends and sales of gift packs and jewellery, and it recruits international volunteers to help with daily care, homework, play and English lessons. Donations from Sweden can be tax-deductible.
