International Aid Services (IAS) Denmark is a Christian, church-rooted humanitarian and development organisation. It was established in 2000 as a representative for certain free churches' development and humanitarian work, and has about 5,000 members from 35 free churches in Denmark. IAS works with local church and civil society partners to deliver emergency aid such as food, shelter, clean water and medical help, and long-term development. Its thematic focus areas are inclusive education for children with disabilities, peace and reconciliation, climate adaptation, and gender equality and child protection. Its main geographic focus is East Africa and the Horn of Africa, with engagement in Ukraine, Pakistan and Nigeria. Donations are funded by private donors, members and grants, including from Danida. IAS is approved as tax-deductible in Denmark.
