It was founded in 2010 as a project of WCTAG Hilft e.V., a German non-profit, and is largely financed by the Bijou Brigitte Foundation. Its work includes a Healthy Nutrition Program, environmental education, digital inclusion, cultural and audiovisual programmes, and a choir.
