About
Founded in 2004, Jesuit Social Network is a non-profit network based in Roma, Italy working on poverty & hunger, community development, refugees & migration +11 more.
The Jesuit Social Network (JSN) is a national network of Italian social organisations inspired by the Society of Jesus and the spirituality of St Ignatius of Loyola. Founded as a federation and operating as an ETS, it brings together 39 associations, cooperatives, foundations, study centres and informal groups working in social care across 16 Italian regions and 29 provinces, and also in Albania, Malta and Romania. Its member realities support people in social hardship, including refugees, homeless people, people with addictions or disabilities, at-risk minors, lone-parent families, older people and prisoners, through personalised support paths. The network combines direct service with research, training and advocacy for social rights, aiming to influence public policy and promote the common good. It promotes volunteering as active citizenship and runs an annual assembly, training and awareness activities. Support is accepted through donations, the 5 per mille tax allocation, membership and volunteering.
