Kanserli Çocuklara Umut Vakfı (KAÇUV) is an Istanbul-based foundation founded in 2000 by families of children under treatment and their doctors. It supports children with cancer and their families during treatment by providing free family accommodation, psychological, social, physical and medical support activities in the paediatric haematology and oncology wards of hospitals and in its Family Houses, educational scholarships, and a monthly support card for essentials. Its work is run largely by volunteers, who take part in a mandatory training before working with children, and it is funded mainly through individual donations, birthday and personal fundraising campaigns, and sales from its Umut Dükkânı shop.
