About
Founded in 2008, KAPSA is a non-profit association based in Kalkan, Turkey working on animal welfare.
KAPSA (Kalkan Association for the Protection of Street Animals) is a Turkish registered non-profit association founded in April 2008 in Kalkan, on the southwest coast of Turkey. It works for the health and welfare of street dogs and cats in Kalkan and surrounding villages through neutering, veterinary treatment, a winter feeding programme and an education programme for local people, children and tourists. It is run entirely by volunteers and funded by donations and fundraising. A UK-registered charity, Friends of KAPSA, supports its fundraising, and the organisation also provides limited help with rehoming animals abroad. It does not operate as a rescue centre.
