Karpatská nadácia is a Slovak non-profit foundation based in Košice that works to support development in eastern Slovakia. It supports non-governmental organisations, schools, municipalities and active residents, runs its own educational programmes and advocates for the rights of vulnerable people. Since 2010 it has organised the Karpatská vandrovka, a donation-based hiking challenge across the Volovské vrchy whose proceeds are redistributed through grants. The foundation reports distributing over 133,000 euros to around 80 community projects in more than 40 towns and villages in the region.
