Leyli Sanat Derneği is a civil society organisation based in Kadıköy, Istanbul. It works on freedom of expression through rights-based projects, using art and culture to help individuals share their ideas and emotions. Its activities include art workshops for children and adults, thematic gatherings and film discussions, the SİYAH e-magazine, advocacy programmes on artistic freedom of expression, and support for emerging artists. The association was founded by a group of volunteers who began meeting in 2017, and it is financed through volunteer work, membership dues, individual donations and project grants. Its stated aim is to make art accessible to all regardless of language, religion, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation or culture.
