About

Lifeline is a non-profit association based in Forch, Switzerland working on humanitarian aid & disaster relief, poverty & hunger, disability +4 more.

Lifeline is a non-profit association founded in Zurich, Switzerland, to provide humanitarian aid to people in need in Eastern Europe. It initiates, co-funds and oversees projects in Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova, including soup kitchens, day care centres for people with disabilities, therapeutic riding, support for children and youth, a summer camp for the Jewish community in Kishinev, and programmes helping young people leave institutional care to start careers. Lifeline's work is carried out largely by volunteers, who travel to the region at their own expense to monitor projects and work with long-standing local partners. Alongside direct aid such as food and hygiene packages and medical equipment shipments, the organisation has supported aid for Ukraine since the outbreak of war. It also promotes Jewish culture in areas where it has largely been forgotten, while supporting non-Jewish individuals and projects. Its stated aim is sustainable, long-term development that improves living conditions for local populations.
