Live PAWS Tenerife

Live PAWS Tenerife is a non-governmental organisation based in Arona, Spain working on animal welfare.

Live PAWS is a non-profit animal rescue and protection association based in the south of Tenerife, Canary Islands. It rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes abandoned and homeless dogs, operating two refuges and a sanctuary for elderly and disabled dogs, and caring for around 140 dogs at a time. Its work includes adoption with contracts and vaccination and sterilisation support, foster care, a support scheme for homeless people with pets, and transport logistics for adopters in the UK. The organisation states that it receives no government funding and relies on donations, fundraising, sponsorships and local business support. Its dogs are cared for by staff and volunteers, and it runs a stray dog reporting service and a charity shop.
