Mayari Animal Rescue Organization, Inc. is a non-profit animal welfare organisation based in Cebu City, Philippines, registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission. It aims to prevent cruelty and needless suffering of animals, and to rehabilitate and rehome abused, neglected and abandoned dogs and cats. The organisation rescues animals in their familiar environment and relocates severe cases to its shelter in Guadalupe, Cebu City for intensive care. It also rescues impounded animals scheduled for euthanasia in government pounds in Cebu, runs vaccination, spay/neuter and birth and disease control, and promotes responsible pet ownership to reduce abandonment. It advocates for humane animal welfare laws, including the Philippines Animal Welfare Act, and campaigns for policy changes at local animal pounds. Its work relies on volunteers, foster carers and donations, and the team of officers and volunteers works on an unpaid basis.
