MiSeVi Slovakia

Founded in 2014, MiSeVi Slovakia is a non-profit association based in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia working on religion & faith, poverty & hunger, children & youth +2 more.

MiSeVi Slovakia is a Slovak civic association of Vincentian lay missionaries, part of the Vincentian family and linked to the spirituality of St. Vincent de Paul. Its members, mostly young Catholics, are formed through regular formation meetings and then send lay missionaries on short and long-term missions abroad. The association has worked in Honduras, Mozambique, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Panama and Russia, supporting local parishes, schools and communities, with activities such as school libraries, adult literacy classes and home visits to the sick and elderly. In Slovakia it runs summer camps for children, including children from socially disadvantaged and Roma families, and organises charitable visits to care homes and shelters and the annual Boj proti hladu collection. It is based in Banská Bystrica and is a member of the international network MiSeVi International.
