Domsjö, Sweden
About
Moälvsfisket is a non-profit association based in Domsjö, Sweden working on nature & wildlife conservation, environment & climate.
Moälvsfisket is a non-profit association based in Örnsköldsvik municipality, Sweden. Its purpose is to develop fish conservation and fishing in the Moälven and Idbyån water systems and to support the independent fishery conservation area associations (fiskevårdsområdesföreningar) within them. Its members include these fishery conservation associations, companies and organisations that promote its purpose, and private individuals. Its stated goal is to restore Moälven as a viable river with a healthy stock of salmon and sea trout, through careful fish harvesting and reintroduction work begun by the municipality in the 1990s and supported by EU Life funding from 2006. The association operates without profit motive, runs catch reporting, publishes a members' newsletter, and invites people to become supporting members.
