Mutagens, formally Fondazione Mutagens ETS, is a non-profit foundation based in Milan, Italy, that works on hereditary-familial syndromes, including hereditary cancer predispositions such as Lynch syndrome and BRCA-related conditions. It was founded in 2020 as an association by carriers of constitutional pathogenic variants and became a foundation later. Its activities include funding and supporting medical-scientific research, linking carriers with clinical trials, providing information and scientific dissemination, advocating for public health pathways and care for carriers, and supporting families. Governance by statute rests exclusively with people carrying genetic mutations. The foundation collaborates with scientific societies, hospitals, patient organisations and pharmaceutical companies, and is a member of the FAVO network.
