Núcleo Cavernoma Portugal

Founded in 2022, Núcleo Cavernoma Portugal is a non-profit association based in Algés, Portugal working on health, medical research.

Núcleo Cavernoma Portugal is a branch of Associação Pigmaleão, a private institution of social solidarity. It supports patients with cerebral and spinal cavernomas, along with their families and carers, and works to raise awareness of this rare neurological condition among the public and the medical community. Its activities include direct support to patients and carers, awareness and educational initiatives with health bodies, the promotion of scientific information, and support for research studies. It is based in Algés, Portugal, and works nationally, with a patient-locating focus across the country.
