OCWIP

Founded in 2006, OCWIP is a non-governmental organisation based in Opole, Poland working on democracy & civil society, community development.

The Opole Centre for Supporting Non-Governmental Initiatives (OCWIP) is an independent non-governmental organisation based in Opole, Poland. It is the regional centre of the SPLOT nationwide network for supporting NGOs. OCWIP supports the development of civil society in the Opole region by strengthening NGOs, activating informal groups, supporting local leaders and building partnerships between NGOs, local government and other sectors. Its activities include training, counselling, coaching, mentoring, grant programmes, volunteering development, and representation in public consultation bodies such as the regional Public Benefit Activity Councils. It also runs the Opole Forum of NGO Plenipotentiaries and administers public funding for NGO support projects.
