Økonomer Uden Grænser (ØUG) is a Danish non-profit association founded in 2010 by Ludvig Wier and Jakob Nielsen. Its volunteer economists and PhD students measure social value and carry out social return on investment (SROI) and social cost-benefit analyses for social organisations, helping them set KPIs, theories of change and assess their interventions. ØUG has produced SROI estimates for organisations working with homelessness and food waste, youth at risk, women in crisis, children and families, and people leaving prison. It publishes reports such as its annual evaluation of FødevareBanken's social gains. The association is politically neutral and operates on non-profit, public-benefit terms. It is based in Copenhagen and also operates in Oxford.
