About
Onkoloogika is a non-profit association based in Tallinn, Estonia working on health, mental health, community development.
Onkoloogika is an Estonian non-profit association (MTÜ) that supports cancer patients and their relatives. It was created to offer a safe, modern and supportive community to people affected by a cancer diagnosis. Its work includes peer experience groups, talks and workshops on the emotional, practical and social aspects of cancer, the annual Onkofest festival, and information resources that aim to reduce stigma and make evidence-based information easier to find. It also represents patients' interests, works with policymakers and experts on patient-centred health and social decisions, and cooperates with other patient organisations such as the Estonian Prostate Cancer Patients' Union. Activities are run by a volunteer-based board and community teams, and the association is funded through donations, partnerships and grants. Its activities are based in Estonia.
