Östersjökontraktet is a Swedish fundraising foundation that runs its own projects and supports those of others to create a healthier Baltic Sea. It invites members of the public, businesses and policymakers to sign a personal 'Baltic Sea Contract' as a pledge for the sea. Its work includes tackling eutrophication, restoring bays and watercourses, creating wetlands, and addressing overfishing by forage fisheries. Donations also fund polio vaccination through Rotary's End Polio Now programme. The foundation is independent, non-partisan and non-religious, and works with partners across the Baltic Sea catchment area.
