OZ PROFKREATIS

Founded in 1993, OZ PROFKREATIS is a non-profit association based in Bratislava, Slovakia working on education, children & youth, mental health.

OZ PROFKREATIS is a Slovak civic association founded in 1993 (originally as the Spoločnosť pre rozvoj priateľského partnerstva v školách, renamed in 2005). It runs educational and personal development activities for people from kindergarten age through university and working life, including programmes against bullying and inappropriate social behaviour at schools and workplaces. It also provides psychological counselling, special-pedagogical and school-psychological services, and prevention and consultation for parents of children with learning or behavioural difficulties. Its best-known work is the accredited Druhý krok (Second Step) violence-prevention and social-emotional learning programme, for which it holds the licence in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. The programme is used in kindergartens and primary schools, and the association trains teachers and provides materials. Based in Bratislava.
