P24 (Punto24 Bağımsız Gazetecilik Derneği) is an independent Turkish association founded in 2013 to support editorial independence, freedom of expression and press freedom in Turkey. It works to expand the capacity of Turkish media, build public demand for media independence, research best journalism practice, encourage the shift to online journalism, and defend freedom of expression through legal means. Its work includes free online journalism training through P24 Akademi, a media library publishing books, an annual World Press Freedom Day lecture, and the Expression Interrupted legal monitoring project. It also runs the Kıraathane Istanbul Literature House, the K24 book and art criticism site, Gezegen24 on climate, and SUSMA, which campaigns against censorship. The organisation is based in Istanbul, Turkey.
